2009 has been an exciting year for Morrissey fans. With the release of Morrissey’s most recent album “Years of Refusal” and his new tour “Tour of Refusal”, newbies and die hards alike have been getting first, second and third helpings of their favorite crooner.
On March 25th, hundreds of reverent fans flocked to Webster Hall to bask in his glory. Luckily, Superglued got to speak to a few of the brave souls, who stood in line for the closest possible position to the stage. We chatted about back sweat, tattoos, Morrissey scented pieces of cloth and when they first loved him. All in all, it was a great gathering of newbies, long time fans and die hards. Here is what some of them had to say about their love of Morrissey and his shows.
If you’re curious about the moment Mark had with Morrissey at the Wellmont, you can see it here:

As a New Yorker, accustomed to wary encounters, it was inspiring to see how quickly people opened up when talking about their love of Morrissey and his music. Their smiles got brighter, their laughs louder, and their stances more relaxed.
That night in line, I got a look at what’s going to make Superglued magical. Superglued is about capturing those moments, those memories and encouraging EVERYONE to talk about them. To smile a bit and relax and talk about the music they love. To remember what being part of a crowd was like and know it was something powerful.
