Attention Bloggers: Easily Share Your Live Music Reviews on SuperGlued
We recently launched a tool to make it easy for Bloggers to share their reviews on SuperGlued. We call it Blogger Connect. Here’s how it works:
1) You write a review and post it to your blog on either WordPress, Tumblr or Blogger.
2) You want to share on SuperGlued so tag the post with the showID which is found on the show page.
3) The full blog post or an excerpt appears on SuperGlued. The choice is yours.
It’s really that easy. You can share with other people who were at the show, drive traffic to your site and be part of the blogger community. In this age of 140 character recaps, we need writers to help preserve experiences.
Please consider contributing and let us know how we can make it better by sharing feedback and ideas.

Updated SuperGlued iPhone App is Live!
The much improved SuperGlued iPhone App is now available, just in time for this year’s SXSW Music Festival. Here are some of the updates we made to it:
- Hot Shows in Your Area – What shows are everyone buzzing about? The rank is based on people going and chatter around the show.
- Member Profiles – Browse through member profiles to learn more about who’s going. You can see their list of shows and add them to your favorites list.
- Where My Friends At – Now it’s even easier to coordinate with friends. You can see what shows they’re at in real-time. Very useful at festivals such as SXSW.
- FourSquare Check-ins – We’ve integrated with FourSquare so you can check-in at shows via SuperGlued. You can also add shows to your list by checking into venues via FourSquare.
- Buy Tickets – You can now buy tickets to upcoming shows via the app. We display ticket prices from over 100 sources via our partner, BandsInTown.
- Improved Photo Browsing – We’ve improved the photo browsing experience. Check out photo galleries and give the photos you like a thumbs up!
- Active Twitter Links – You can now click through a link posted in a twitter message. The link will open in a new screen within the app.
- Bug fixes – No update would be complete without a few good old bug fixes!

Best of the Decade and SuperGlued Updates
The holidays are a great time to reflect on the past year. All that was great, could be better and is best forgotten. This year is a special one because it marks the end of a decade. It seems like the world was freaking out about the Y2K bug just yesterday!
Some of our favorite artists were kind enough to share their list of favorite shows. Oasis, The Strokes, The Gossip and Tom Waits are mentioned. Which shows top your list? Post them to SuperGlued. As an added bonus, one lucky person will win a pair of tickets to see Vampire Weekend at United Palace.
While you’re reflecting on the decade, take out that shoebox of ticket stubs and post your list of shows. And share all those photos sitting on your hard drive too! You’re bound to find other people who were there that might remember it somewhat differently.
We don’t send these updates out often so thought we’d reflect a bit ourselves. Six months ago, we launched SuperGlued as a place for concertgoers to find and discuss shows. Since then, thousands have joined and shared moments through vivid stories, photos and videos from shows around the world. We’ve got a long way to go in bringing people together around EVERY show that ever took place. But with 100,000 shows, 200,000 photos and 20,000 videos, we’re on our way.
Thank you for being part of the SuperGlued community. We’re always looking for ways to make SuperGlued more fun and useful. Please do share any feedback you have.
On that note, here are a few recent updates that you find useful:
Ticket Sales for Shows – In addition to finding local shows to attend, you can now buy tickets too! We’ve partnered with our friends at BandsinTown so that you can find the best price for show tickets anywhere in the world. Look for the “Buy Tickets” button on a shows page. It’s the perfect gift for a dear friend.
Improved Photo Browsing Experience – We’ve made a few updates so that browsing the photo gallery from a show is more enjoyable. Take a look at Amanda’s photos from a recent FanFarlo show and let us know if it’s good for you. Oh and thumbs up the photos you like!
Follow us on Twitter to get info on ticket giveaways and site updates. And please help us in getting the word out – tell all your friends about this new and sticky thing called SuperGlued.

• See live updates before and during the show – How long is the line to get in? What time does the band go on? What song is that?
• Tweet with people in the crowd – Post your thoughts, reply to tweets, coordinate to meet up for stuff like food after the show, etc…

Finding a Show is Even Easier
We’re constantly making updates to the site. One which you’ll appreciate is an improved search results page.
Previously, when you entered a keyword in our search box, we’d return a list of shows based on the keyword. That’s not always useful, particularly when you’re looking for a recent or upcoming show for a band such as Phoenix. “Phoenix” is also the name of a city and a few venues. Since we wouldn’t really know what you were looking for, results would be all over the place.
But that just changed.Now when you enter “Phoenix”, we return matching artists, venues, cities and festivals. You’ll be able to easily find what you are looking for.
SuperGlued Profiled in Fast Company!!
Fast Company recently did a nice piece on SuperGlued. We’re big fans of the magazine so it was exciting to see us mentioned. Here’s an excerpt…
SuperGlued could be written off as another lame attempt at social networking, but it’s different from the likes of Facebook or MySpace in that members actually have a shared experience off of which to build. From that experience, users can exchange points of view on a certain show, build and compare concert timelines, and swap tales of crowd surfing bravado or backstage shenanigans.
50in50 Recap
Nick and Katharine
Woohoo! Nick and Katharine did it! When we first set out to do 50in50, we didn’t know what to expect. There were a few big shows planned but would there be something interesting to see and write about each day? What role would the weather play? And would Nick and Katharine be able to make it? It’s hard enough to make it out to a show five days in a row. Multiply by ten and well, it gets tougher.
But it all went smoothly. So many amazing and diverse shows were taking place every day — everyone from the Burning Spear and Bela Fleck to the Casiokids and Matt & Kim. And while it rained more than it has in over 80 years, it did not ruin the experiment. Several shows moved indoors or ended early. But they went on!
Big props to Nick and Katharine for making it through this journey and proving that you can see great music with little to no money. And thanks to all the festival organizers, band and crowds for making these experiences memorable.
Browse through the calendar, artists and recaps, and share your favorite moments. And grab a friend and challenge yourselves to do this next year. It will definitely be worth it!

Link Your Flickr Account to SuperGlued
SuperGlued is all about celebrating collective experiences. But we’re not about making you do extra work to do so. We now make it easy for Flickr users to post once on Flickr and have it appear on SuperGlued. And we give you control over which of your photos appear.
Here’s how it works:
1) Sign up for SuperGlued — either join regularly or via Facebook Connect on the sign up page.
2) Go to your Settings page. Scroll down and you’ll see an option to link to your Flickr account. When you click on the link, you will be taken to Flickr where they’ll ask you to confirm that you want SuperGlued to be able to scan your public (NOT private) photos for matching tags. It seems like an intimidating process with the “Are you sure you trust SuperGlued” warning. Yeah – we’re new and all but our intentions are noble. So don’t be alerted :>
Once you successfully link to your Flckr account, SuperGlued looks for matching tags. Each show has a unique tag id. For example, this excellent Blonde Redhead show has an id — sglued6260 — that you can find on the specific show page.
3) Tag all the great photos you want to share on SuperGlued with the specific showid. It should appear on SuperGlued within 24 hours. Don’t freak if you don’t see it immediately. Our friendly bot will find it!
Photos will appear on SuperGlued and be attributed to you. Feel free to remove photos from SG at any time by going to the specific photo and clicking on delete this link.
Please note: Some of your photos on Flickr may already by on SuperGlued. When you link accounts, these photos will be added to your profile and you can remove them if you wish.

It’s been raining tons over the past month in New York City. People are up in arms about it, suggesting that it’s ruining the day, week and even their life (somebody did say this). The rain hasn’t stopped our two SuperGlued interns, Nick and Katharine, from completing 5 days of their 50 shows in 50 days for free marathon. It’s only added to the experience. And these two are determined. Neither rain, the F train, late night parties or lines around the park will prevent them from seeing the remaining 45 shows and completing this amazing journey.
